The SWAT App

SWAT is a safety app designed to protect vulnerable individuals, including sex workers, by providing discreet emergency alerts, real-time GPS tracking, and secure communication with trusted contacts. It empowers users with tools to enhance their security while enabling swift response in critical situations.

The searchable database is one of the most proactive tools available to sex workers. Prior to agreeing to meet, they have the ability to search through a database of known bad experiences by location, name (or alias).

The database is added to by sex workers, allowing them to help protect others.

By using your devices location, the SWAT App is able to transmit your location to law enforcement and/or a trusted contact set up by the user, in the event of an emergency. 

A voice or gesture activated panic button will allow your trusted contact and law enforcement to receive notification that you need immediate assistance. It will also activate the gps functions and send your location. 

By allowing the user to set up a meeting length, SWAT will send a notification that requires acknowledgement by the user at the set time. If no acknowledgement is received, a secondary notification will be sent, at which point the phones GPS location will be continuously tracked, and your trusted contact will be notified.
